Proposal Pages
Overview of the information and data available on each proposal page.
Proposal pages provide important information on the discussion, voting, and other activity of the DAO proposals listed in Messari. Additionally, if you have chosen to connect your wallet to Messari, you can vote directly on the proposal page if you are a member of the DAO.

Proposal Lifecycle

Proposal Summary
The proposal summary provides a brief on the goals and intentions of the proposal. You can find more details about the proposal under the 'Details' section of the proposal page. From there you will see the information that has been presented to voters.

All proposals are assigned a category and sub-category to easily sort and find relevant proposals. Proposals are also assigned an 'Importance' level which defines the level of impact the proposal will have on the DAO if passed. More information on the definitions of these categories can be found below:

Active Vote Results
Depending on the current status of the proposal, you will be able to see the active or end results of voting for the proposal. Results are shown in the voting power or total governance tokens of the wallets that voted in either direction or abstained from voting.
Active voting results could be used to analyze the likelihood of the potential result. This is important information that could be used to adjust your portfolio of assets in the case of a vote that may affect the price of that asset. Related proposals and their results are also listed and can give you some insights into any predictions on the result.

Voters List

Key information about the proposal is also included on each proposal page. This information covers:
- Author - The wallet address of the member who has created the proposal.
- Author Type - The DAO membership level of the author. Options: Core Member or Community member.
- Strategies - Strategies are used to calculate the voting power for a proposal. A proposal can have multiple strategies. erc20-with-balance is an example of a strategy that checks whether the participant has a minimum amount of token required to vote and assigns all the votes to 1.
- IPFS - IPFS is a P2P network for storing and sharing data in a distributed file system. IPFS uses content-addressing to uniquely identify each file in a global namespace connecting all computing devices.
- Voting System - Voting systems represent the method used to calculate the results of a vote on the basis of the voting power. While voting strategies calculate voting power, voting systems calculate the results of votes.
- Snapshot Block - The block number of the implemented proposal changes was included.
- Start/End Date - The start and ending date of the proposal voting
- Total Votes Cast - The number of votes cast in governance tokens
- Total Voters - The number of votes cast by unique wallets
Most proposals within a DAO start with a preliminary discussion amongst DAO members. These discussions are to decide if the proposal should go to a vote and to prepare the details of the proposal if it does.

Sentiment of Discussion
By analyzing these discussions, Messari can provide a sentiment level based on the comments. These can help provide an analysis of the likelihood of whether or not the proposal will be passed. Direct links to the discussion are also available on the proposal page.
