Use the Networks Explorer page to explore metrics for all the top networks. This page allows you to quickly browse metrics in tables and to visualize trends in charts.

Navigating & Exploring Networks

You can browse the full list of networks supported at: https://messari.io/networks. The explorer allows you to create watchlists and filter and arrange networks by the supported metrics.

The newest feature in Nettworks Explorer page is the ability to toggle between Table and Chart view:

Table view is a bird’s eye view of all the networks showing the latest numbers for each metric.
Chart view displays curated charts with the top networks by Transaction Fees, but can be modified to fit your needs.

Navigating Table View

Table view has six tabs grouping network metrics together in: Key Metrics, Usage, Contracts, Security, DeFi and All. The timespan for all the tables can be changed and it will affect certain metrics.

Key Metrics tab consists of critical metrics when assessing networks. This table’s headings and definitions are:

Transaction Fees: Fees paid for transactions within the selected timespan, denominated by USD.
- % change: The % change in Transaction Fees between the prior timespan and the current one.
Transactions: The number of transactions within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Transactions between the prior timespan and the current one
Average Active Addresses: The average daily number of unique wallet addresses sending transactions within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Average Active Addresses between the prior timespan and the current one.
Circulating Marketcap: The current USD value of all native tokens that are in circulation (available for trade by owners).
- % change: The % change in Circulating Marketcap from the beginning to the end of the timespan selected.
TVL: The current USD value of assets deposited into DeFi protocols.
- % change: The % change in TVL from the beginning to the end of the timespan selected.
Stablecoin Marketcap:_ Current USD value of all USD stablecoins that have been minted or bridged onchain.
- % change: The % change in USD Stablecoin Marketcap from the beginning to the end of the timespan selected.
DEX Volume: USD value of all swaps on DEXs within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in DEX Volume between the prior timespan and the current one.
Bridge Net Flow: USD value of assets that are bridged on the network minus assets bridged off the network within the timespan selected.
- % change: The % change in Bridge Net Volume between the prior timespan and the current one.

Usage tab consists of metrics related to usage of the network. This table’s headings include Transaction Fees, Transactions and Average Active Addresses, described in Key metrics. Additional metrics and definitions include:

Average Transaction Fee: The average daily fee paid per transaction.
- % change: The % change in Average Transaction Fee between the prior timespan and the current one.
Average New Addresses: The average daily number of unique wallet addresses that send a transaction for the first time within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Average New Addresses between the prior timespan and the current one.
Average Returning Addresses: The average daily number of unique wallet addresses that are returning to send a transaction within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Average Returning Addresses between the prior timespan and the current one.
Successful Transactions: The number of successful transactions within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Successful Transactions between the prior timespan and the current one.
Unsuccessful Transactions: The number of unsuccessful transactions within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Unsuccessful Transactions between the prior timespan and the current one.

DeFi tab consists of metrics related to DeFi protocols on the network. DeFi metrics are sourced from DeFi Llama. This table’s headings include TVL, Stablecoin Marketcap, DEX Volume and Bridge Net Flow described in Key Metrics. Additional metrics and definitions include:

Bridge Deposit Volume: USD value of assets that are bridged on the network within the timespan selected.
- % change: The % change in Bridge Inflow between the prior timespan and the current one.
Bridge Withdraw Volume: USD value of assets that are bridged off the network within the timespan selected.
- % change: The % change in Bridge Outflow between the prior timespan and the current one.
Options Volume: Notional USD value of all transactions in options protocols within the timespan selected.
- % change: The % change in Options Volume between the prior timespan and the current one.

Contracts tab consists of metrics related to smart contract activity on the network. This table’s headings and definitions are:

Average Active Contracts: The average daily number of unique contracts called within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Average Active Contracts between the prior timespan and the current one.
New Contracts Deployed: The number of new contracts deployed within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in New Contracts Deployed between the prior timespan and the current one.
Total Contract Calls: The number of contract calls made within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Total Contract Calls between the prior timespan and the current one.
Average New Contracts Called: The average daily number of unique contracts called for the first time within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Average New Contracts Called between the prior timespan and the current one.
Average Returning Contracts Called: The average daily number of unique contracts called not for the first time within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Average Returning Contracts Called between the prior timespan and the current one.
Average Unique Contract Callers: The average daily number of unique addresses that call a contract within the selected timespan.
- % change: The % change in Average Unique Contract Callers between the prior timespan and the current one.

Navigating Chart View

Chart View provides charts for key metrics from networks we currently fully support.

Timespan can be adjusted and the x-axis of all the charts will accordingly adjust to timespan.

The select network drop down allows you to select which networks to display. There is a toggle to for "Other" to display data for all other networks we currently do not support.

At the bottom of each chart there is a legend for each network displayed. Networks can be shown and hidden by clicking on their names in the legend.

Circulating Marketcap: Stacked area chart showing daily Circulating MarketCap for each network.

Transaction Fees: Line chart showing daily Transaction Fees for each network.

Daily Transactions: Stacked bar chart showing daily transactions for each network.

Daily Active Addresses: Line chart showing daily active addresses for each network.

TVL: Stacked area chart showing daily TVL for each network.

Stablecoin MarketCap: Stacked area chart showing daily stablecoin market cap for each network.

DEX Volume: Stacked Area chart showing daily DEX volume for each network.

Usage Section:

New Addresses: Line chart showing daily new addresses for each network.

Returning Addresses: Line chart showing daily returning addresses for each network.

Successful Transactions: Line chart showing daily successful transactions for each network.
