Diligence Reports provide a full Asset profile in a standardized report structure so that you can quickly answer the most important questions that arise during asset analysis and comparison.

Access Diligence Reports

Use the main navigation at the left of the Messari site to find the Research tab and select Diligence Reports from the dropdown. Diligence Reports are also available on the Explore page alongside other Messari reports. Screenshot 2025-09-17 at 6.59.47 PM.png

Navigate The Diligence Library

Use the icons in the top right corner of the reports to switch between grid view and table view, and use the panel on the left side to update your report results.
  • Search: Search for reports relevant to you
  • Filter By: Filter by Sector to see reports in your area of focus
  • Sort by: Sort the grid view alphabetically, by Market Cap, or by Last Update Date (click on column headers to sort on the table view)
  • Only Show My Reports: Use this toggle to only show reports that your Messari ID has access to
  • Suggest a Diligence Report: Request coverage from the Diligence Analyst team
  • Alert Me: Subscribe to alerts on Diligence or Research reports to never miss an update

Read Diligence Reports

Selecting a report in the Library will jump you to the Diligence section of the Project page. This allows you to review the Diligence information and quickly explore other aspects of the Project. The Diligence report includes an option to Download as PDF, a table of contents for ease of navigation, and an Alert Me button in the top right corner to set alerts for this Project. Diligence Report Contents

Diligence Reports are standardized across assets to cover four major components. Each component also has a standardized set of questions that are answered. This allows users to quickly find the information they are looking for and make comparisons across assets.
  • General Information: background on the founding members and project purpose
  • Token Usage and Economics: for Asset use, governance, staking, buybacks, and much more
  • Technology: information on the network, contracts, technical audits, and more
  • Legal and Regulatory: details on token sales or equity rounds, allocations, adverse media, and more

Key Developments Since Report

The Key Developments Since Report section leverages Messari’s Key Developments alerts to keep readers up-to-date on all events since the report was last updated. Diligence Alerts

Select Alert Me in the top right corner of a Diligence Report on the Project page to activate Research Alerts. You can also visit Tools in the top navigation and select Alert Manager. These alerts will be sent to the email address associated with your Messari login.   • Follow Messari analysts on X (formerly Twitter) for ongoing updates and additional insights.
  • Be sure to subscribe to Research alerts to never miss a Research Report, Protocol Report, or Diligence Report.
  • Use the 🎧 icon to listen to Reports on the go.
  • Use the three dots icon in the audio player to adjust playback speed or jump between chapters in a report.

Currently the Diligence reports and most Enterprise reports are available for PDF download, and you will see the download option in the top-right of the report page.
