I'm new to Messari. Where do I start?

Welcome! As a new user, we have a few recommendations to help you get the most out of your account. Our Docs are full of video walkthroughs explaining each part of the platform, and we've compiled some of them below.

Here are some tips on getting started with Messari:

• Fill out your Messari profile

  As a new user, you'll see a popup dialogue box giving you the chance to fill out your profile. You can also always do this later by going to Account & Settings > Account Details.

  

• Start at the beginning: The Homepage

  The Homepage brings together all of Messari's features. From here, check out the price performance of assets, read AI-generated news summaries, discover recently-published Research, and view the governance activity of your favorite projects.

  • Home: Start here for a high-level overview of price and historical performance on a variety of assets including ones from your Watchlist or that are the top Gainers/Losers. You can also see the latest Messari Research and follow along with Messari's aggregated feed of news, events, research, governance activity, and other qualitative offerings.
  • Today in Crypto: Want to focus solely on qualitative data? The Today in Crypto tab narrows down your homepage to just Messari's aggregated feed of news, research, and other qualitative offerings.
  • Top Assets: This tab provides a broad market overview by showing 100 assets at a time and allows you to switch between different metrics such as Volume, Long-Term and Calendar Years ROI, and Classifications.
  • Market Overview: Focused on price? Go to the Market Overview tab to narrow in on pricing and charts.

  The Homepage Walkthrough

• Build a Watchlist & schedule your personalized AI-generated email digest

  Create a Watchlist to easily organize and manage the projects you're interested in, track their price performance, and tailor your news and research feeds. Schedule your AI digest to receive daily or weekly AI-generated summaries of current events involving your watchlist's assets sent straight to your inbox.

• Set up Alerting policies

  As a Pro and Enterprise user, you can create alerting policies to get notified about events that are important to you.

  • Key Developments (Enterprise only)
    • Track important events (called Key Developments) as they occur to your inbox or Slack.
  • Diligence Reports (Enterprise only)
  • Research Reports (Enterprise & Pro)
    • Select the assets, tags, authors, or watchlists you're interested in and get notified when new relevant research is published, or select "All Research" to receive notifications any time Messari Research is published.
    • You can also decide whether you want to limit your alerts to Free, Pro, and/or Enterprise-level Research.
  • Governance Activity (Enterprise & Pro)

• Create a Screen

  Create a Screen to narrow down your search to projects in the category that interests you most.

• Read Quarterlies and Research reports

  Start reading Quarterly reports and Research reports written by Messari's team of analysts to learn about projects in the space and to gain a better understanding of the market as a whole.
